On One-Night-Stand (ONS)

December 19th, 2009 by elmer-slimer

Q: Why do I have regular food and sexual cravings?

A: A craving is a signal that your mind, body or spirit needs to fill. It also may mean, as in food, that you lack a certain mineral/vitamin. Sugar cravings are caused by an unbalanced diet. It could mean that you have a carbohydrate overload or your hormonal balance is upset.

Sexual cravings are symptoms of fear and doubt in one’s self. Sexual interaction may satisfy you temporarily but it also means there will never be any satisfaction you could get from just one person. This is the sad truth unless you deal with your real problem. If you don’t search your psyche well enough to heal your inner hurts, then strangers and strange encounters will continually magnetize you. People and partners will merely be objects to be used and not to be loved.

ONS or one night stand, a typical attitude of the younger generation who loves dating and hook ups..

But as time goes by one loses his/her heart in the process..and when the right guy/gal/gay comes one would mistook it as just one night stand..and lucky for those if the right guy/gal/gay waits for them till their hearts open up and let them in..

and when you finally let your heart falls in love again be sure to nurture and nourish it with your pure love..a closed relationship maybe..and endless prayers that the magic would never end..

One 2 One of Safer-Sex

December 18th, 2009 by elmer-slimer

Warning: For Gay Adults Only, I repeat For GAY Adults only,  read it at own risk..lol..

==============================================

Safer Sex protects against HIV and lowers the risk of catching another sexually transmitted infection (STI). We’ve put together some info about risks and tips on how to protect yourself in the most common forms of sex.

Oral Sex

Aka cock sucking. Stimulating a cock with your mouth or tongue is seen as low-risk provided no blood comes into play. What’s important is not to get sperm in your mouth or on any cuts, on mucous membranes or in your eyes. If you do get cum in your mouth, don’t swallow it but spit it out quickly and wash out your mouth – ideally with alcohol. If you get cum in your eyes, wash them out quickly under water. To be completely safe, use a condom for oral sex – this will also eliminate the chances of picking up oral gonorrhoea.

Penetration with Fingers

Fingering the ass is also seen as low-risk, even if the skin has cuts (but make sure your finger nails are well clipped!).

Anal Sex

The risk here of picking up HIV or some other sexually transmitted infection is particularly great. The arse is well supplied with blood and its mucous membranes can very easily be torn.

The “active” partner too – that’s the one who introduces his cock in the arse – can also become infected. This is because the sensitive glans (penis head) and meatus (opening of the urethra or “piss pipe”) can also come into contact with the virus.

Condoms used together with a non-fatty lubricant provide good protection for anal sex.

Fisting

Whether it’s anal or vaginal, fisting is a low-risk sexual practice as long as no blood-with-blood or blood-with- mucous membrane contact occurs. Rubber gloves give good protection (keep those finger nails well clipped!). If you use a fatty lubricant (like Crisco), anal or vaginal intercourse after fisting is high risk as the fat damages most condoms and removes their protective function.

S/M (Sado-Maso)

S/M rituals are no-risk as far as HIV is concerned – but only provided there are no cuts on the skin where blood or sperm can get in or no blood or sperm comes into contact with the eyes, mucous membranes or the mouth. S/M toys are safe too – as long as no blood comes into play. If your toys have been used by or on other people, always give them a good cleaning with soap and water before using them again.

Games with Sex Toys

As far as HIV is concerned, dildos, vibrators and other sex toys are safe if they are only used by or on the same person. If they are going to be used by or on other people, slip a new condom on them or wash them properly with soap and water.

Other Sex Practices

Practices involving piss (golden showers) and shit (scat) like arse licking (rimming) involve no risk of HIV infection (provided always no blood is in play). Even so, you can still infect yourself with other STIs like hepatitis. You can get yourself vaccinated against hepatitis A and B.

Deep kissing, mutual masturbation and massage, rubbing yourself against your partner and other such practices all carry no risk of HIV infection so long as no blood or cum comes in contact with your mouth, eyes, mucous membranes or with any cuts.

Bi-Sex: Sex with Women

No, that’s not a misprint! In general I want to pack every woman-related topic in this section and not have ‘em scattered throughout the text. I’ll just touch on the main issues and refer you to the links for more in-depth information. If I put this info under all the separate headings, there’d be complaints!

The same rule applies here too – using condoms for anal or vaginal sex offers the best protection. Licking female genitals is seen as low-risk except during menstruation (if you want to be completely risk-free, place a cut-open condom or a sheet of food wrap between your mouth and the clitoris). Penetration of the vagina with fingers is also low-risk, but during menstruation finger caps, condoms or rubber gloves should be used.

What is AIDS and HIV?

December 18th, 2009 by elmer-slimer

What is AIDS and HIV?

The red ribbon

stands for loss, mourning, sadness, pain, fear and illness – but also for kindness, compassion, understanding and countless acts of positive practical support. People who display the red ribbon show they are aware of the social problems connected with AIDS.

What is AIDS and HIV?

Aids is the English acronym for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (a “syndrome” = a complex of various different symptoms). The immune system is there to protect you against the various infections – like bacteria, fungi and viruses – that can get into your body.

Aids is caused by an infection with HIV, the Human Immunodeficiency Virus. HIV-1 was discovered in 1983/84 followed a little later by HIV-2. Both types of virus and their subgroups (subtypes) show special features and appear with degrees of frequency that vary from continent to continent. But whatever type the virus might be, the selfsame ways of protecting yourself against it still apply. Aids refers to the stage of HIV infection where the body can develop certain life-threatening infectious diseases and tumours.

How does HIV weaken the Immune System?

HIV infects the white blood cells (also known as CD4 cells or T4 cells) and uses them to make new copies of HIV. The white blood cells are important because it is they that set the immune system in motion when the body is invaded by organisms like bacteria and viruses.

When HIV infects a body, the white blood cells mount a defence against it. But the antibodies produced by the defence mechanism cannot rid the body of HIV. A small number of infected CD4 cells are directly destroyed by the virus while many more have their indirect mechanisms damaged by the virus so that the defence they provide is inadequate or faulty. In this way the number of healthy CD4 cells is greatly reduced. And as the number of CD4 cells decline this means that the body is less and less able to defend itself against infection. In an advanced stage of immunodeficiency life-threatening diseases or “opportunistic infections”, allergies and various cancerous growths can occur.

What is the course of an HIV infection and what symptoms are there?

The course of an HIV infection can vary widely from person to person and each single case generally shows a wide degree of fluctuation. Symptoms can – but must not necessarily – appear. And between the various stages of the illness there are often long periods when no symptoms at all appear. A fully developed immunodeficiency can even occur without there being any signs of sickness (= symptoms) until the outbreak of very serious illness.

Measuring the “virus load” (= the number of viruses per millilitre of blood) is a way of showing how far the virus has reproduced itself and damaged the immune system. The greater the virus load is, the quicker the body’s immune system will be destroyed. But also counting the number of white blood cells per millilitre of blood tells us about the condition of the immune system – the fewer CD4 cells there are, the more the immune system is damaged.

The First Weeks

Shortly after infecting a body the HIV virus begins to reproduce itself heavily. In this period the risk of infecting someone else is particularly high! Usually in the first weeks after infection flu-like symptoms appear (“primary effects”) which then disappear by themselves after one to two weeks. Many people hardly notice these symptoms or take them to be signs of an ordinary cold or flu. But in each case where there is an HIV infection the body reacts by producing antibodies. And these can usually be reliably diagnosed by an HIV antibody test about 12 weeks after the initial infection.

Symptom-free Phase

The HIV infection then enters into a discreet phase – in other words there are no noticeable symptoms. This phase can last a few months or a few years. But the virus still continues to reproduce and damage the immune system.

Phase with General Symptoms

At some point symptoms can occur. They are usually general symptoms like prolonged lymph node swellings at various points of the body (under the armpits, around the top of the legs), heavy night sweats and prolonged periods of diarrhoea. The symptoms which appear with an HIV infection are all non-specific – in other words they can equally occur with many other forms of illness. This is why only doctors who are experienced in this field are able to tell whether the immune system has been damaged or not.

Chronic Immunodeficiency

If certain opportunistic infections occur in a person whose immune system has been badly damaged by HIV we speak of “Aids”. These opportunistic infections include pneumocistis carinii pneumonia (PCP), a rare form of pneumonia, and infections of body organs like the gullet with the fungus candida albicans. Viruses like herpes simplex and herpes zoster can also cause serious infections. The most common tumours occurring in connection with AIDS are virus-caused forms of cancer like kaposi sarcoma, cervical cancer and lymphomas (malignant immune system tumours). Because HIV also infects the central nervous system, during the course of an HIV infection this can also lead to nerve damage and brain damage which usually begin slowly and without any symptoms.

How is HIV NOT transmitted?

HIV is one the infections which is very difficult to transmit. The virus itself is sensitive and cannot live long outside the human body under normal conditions. Standard hygiene at home and in hospital is enough to make it ineffective. Even so, the virus can still survive for several days in blood smears in used injecting needles!

Although HIV has been detected in urine, shit, spit, sweat and tears, it has been in such very small quantities that there is generally no danger of transmission. This means that there is no danger of transmission through shaking hands, hugging, play and sport, coughing and sneezing or using the same plates, cutlery or glasses. Equally there is no danger of transmission from using the same toilet, towel, bed linen, using the same swimming pool or sauna or working and living with people with HIV/Aids. Nor is there any danger of HIV transmission with kissing (so long as there are no cuts on the lips or in the mouth). And insects like mosquitoes and animals cannot transmit HIV either.

How can HIV be transmitted?

HIV can only be transmitted when a sufficient quantity of it enters into the bloodstream or comes into contact with a mucous membrane. Infection is possible with blood – including menstrual blood – sperm, vaginal fluid and breast milk – all of which can hold high concentrations of the virus. The risk of infecting yourself and others with HIV is also much greater if you already have a sexually transmitted infection like syphilis, gonorrhoea or herpes. This is why it is very important to recognise these infections at an early stage and get them treated!

The HIV Test

An HIV test tells you for sure whether you have an HIV infection (“positive” test result) or not (“negative” test result). Knowing that you have an HIV infection enables you to start an early course of treatment which will stop or slow down serious damage to the immune system and the resultant chronic opportunistic infections.

Whether you take an HIV test or not is your own decision to make. An HIV test should never be made without your knowledge and consent, and nobody should force anyone to take a test. What is truly vital is that you should be given enough information about the test and feel that you have been adequately counselled. A counsellor should also inform you about the possible social and legal disadvantages that could result from the test or a possible positive test result. If you want to know for sure about your HIV status you should take the test three months after the last HIV risk situation at the earliest. But the HIV test is not a preventive measure. You can only protect yourself against HIV by practising Safer Sex and sticking to the Safer Sex guidelines.

Costs/Anonymity (Germany)

To find out the place to take the test that’s best suited to your own circumstances, you should consult with your local charity or trust specialised in helping people with HIV / Aids.

As a general rule, though, public health agencies usually offer the test for free or for a small charge (around € 10-15). The big advantage here is that the test is made anonymously – in other words your name is not mentioned and the result is not “documented”. If the test is made for instance at a GP’s, it will indicate your name – in other words the test and its result will be documented and this can have all kinds of consequences (for instance for your insurance). If you have reason to believe that you have been infected, your health insurance scheme will bear the costs of the test.

Reasons for taking an HIV Test

To be certain after being in a situation where a risk of transmission was involved.

You’re not sure whether you’re infected with HIV because you’ve been in a situation where a transmission risk was present – and you want to know for sure.

The “Stock-taking Test” / “Engagement Test”

You are in a closed relationship and want to do away with using condoms. And you want to be certain that neither of you is HIV positive.

Symptoms/ Starting Therapy

You have symptoms that could indicate a HIV infection and/or want to start early treatment. The HIV test has a high therapeutic significance.

Taking out a Health Insurance Policy

Some insurance companies require you to take an HIV test or present the result of a recent test before you can take out a policy.

Stop AIDS, Keep the Promise

World Aids Day is a global event organized by the World Aids Campaign. In 2007 and 2008 the theme for World AIDS Day “leadership”, a theme which is being promoted with the slogan, “Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise.”

As an example to national leaders and decision makers, individuals are asked to pledge their leadership and commitment to fighting HIV and AIDS by making their own pledge. We hope all GayRomeo users will support this action and take the pledge. You can do this online by clicking the link under this logo:

Make your pledge here.

Why the theme of leadership?

Since the beginning of the epidemic, experience has clearly demonstrated that significant advances in the response to HIV have been achieved when there is strong and committed leadership. Leaders are distinguished by their action, innovation and vision; their personal example and engagement of others; and their perseverance in the face of obstacles and challenges. However, leaders are often not those in the highest offices. Leadership must be demonstrated at every level to get ahead of the disease - in families, in communities, in countries and internationally.

Much of the best leadership on AIDS has been demonstrated within civil society organisations challenging the status quo. Making leadership the theme of the next two World AIDS Days will help encourage leadership on AIDS within all levels and sectors of society. We hope it will inspire and foster champions within a range of different groups and networks at local and international levels.

Accountability

Leadership as a theme follows and builds on the 2006 theme of accountability. Despite the efforts to hold leaders accountable in 2006, progress in halting HIV is falling far short of targets.

Over 5700 people died each day from AIDS-related illnesses in 2007. Over 6800 people are still being infected with HIV daily, about 1200 of whom are children under 15 and about 2900 are women 15 years and older. The infection rates in young people ages 15-24 remain frighteningly high.

In North America and across Western Europe (particularly in the UK) infection rates among men who have sex with men continue to rise alarmingly. We know these infections and these deaths are preventable and avoidable if promises by countries to scale up access to prevention, treatment, care and support for all are to be fulfilled by 2010.

In high level meetings, governments of rich countries promised to increase the spending on development aid to 0.7 percent of their annual budget. Only a handful of countries have done so. In the Abuja Declaration, African leaders committed to allocating 15 percent of their budgets to health. This has happened in just one or two countries, with only one-third of African countries spending over 10 percent. Promises are not being kept because there is a lack of leadership at every level.

Preservatives and Additives

if you are health conscious, here is a sample about food preservatives and additives..one would think twice about buying a grocery item..check the labels..if you don’t understand the ingredients you might probably reading chemical terms used as preservatives or additives..few things i know..sodium nitrate is used in canned goods like corned beef and sardines..MSG or vetsin - a main ingredient to food enhancers like Knorr cubes or Magic sarap or noodles..and here is what i found out on the net..read on

Preservatives and  Additives

Excerpt from NORTH AMERICAN DIET

This is the age of science. A fabricated custom-made reality, competing with the natural, organic world man from which has lived for thousands of years. Yet the living, human cell has been incapable in keeping up with our ever-changing times. The small print on your Twinkies reads more like rocket fuel than food for human consumption with unpronounceable test tube names labeling chemicals manufactured in the cauldrons of industry. There is no doubt that the Twinkie-drug has been a successful experiment in taste-bud delight, their bright plastic husks found in dumps all over the planet. But are there side effects? And if so, do they outweigh the benefits that Twinkies are providing for the millions who have come to depend upon their relief from the drudgery of daily living?

The human body consists of billions of microscopic living cells, composed of perfectly, balanced quantities of water and organic substances. If you have eaten the standard North American Diet for years, without serious harm to your health, it is due to your body’s outstanding resistance. Yet genetic weaknesses may be hidden by youth. The cumulative effect of toxins will increase the risk of becoming a host to disease or premature death. Unfortunately, resistance to disease diminishes as the abuse continues. Disease is like heating a pot of water. When the water becomes too hot, it quickly boils over. The biochemistry of the body will absorb toxins only to a point. There is a boiling point—illness!

We live like no other generation before us. A giant experiment of toxic ingestion. In this game, the stakes are high, it can cost your life. We may consider our way of eating as normal, but the modern diet is about as normal as a test tube of chemicals. The body’s chemistry is recreated by ingesting countless food additives and environmental contaminants.

The toxins in your body have been accumulating since birth and are imbedded in every cell structure and organ. But do not despair, there is an answer. Toxins disrupt the natural chemistry of your body. Remove the harmful elements in your diet, replacing them with health-filled foods, and a wonderful new metamorphosis will occur. God has created the body to be irrepressibly healthy!

Chemicals which have the power to produce mutations through chromosome damage are called mutagens. They cause disruptions of the genetic code which are responsible for over 15,000 inheritable, genetic disorders. Sadly, they may have a drastic consequence to our grandchildren.

The food industry aims at making products look and taste appealing without thought to the products’ nutritional value. Loaded with chemical additives and designed to be addictive, processed food is manufactured first for profit.

All great chefs will tell you that the tangy flavor of lemon juice is a must in enhancing and lifting the taste of fish. In fact, lemon juice is widely used to compliment a variety of popular dishes. But to cut cost and for the sake of convenience, manufacturers have replaced lemon juice with 2-methyl-3-(pisopropylphenyl)-propionaldehyde. An unpronounceable name to add to the estimated three thousand chemical additives which we consume.

Your body has become a chemical depository. Sulfur is used to keep dried fruit fresh. Formaldehyde which is used to retard corpse decomposition is added to disinfect frozen vegetables. The blue shimmer on the surface of luncheon meat is the result of sodium nitrate. Sodium nitrate is commonly used in the preservation of ham, bacon, sausage and bologna to keep meat looking red, when normally, it would have decomposed into an unappealing gray. In the stomach, sodium nitrate is converted into nitrous acid which is suspected of inciting stomach cancer. Germany and Norway have banned the use of this powerful toxin.

Feed for raising chickens contains arsenic to stimulate growth, increase egg-production and give the chicken a yellowed skin. Aluminum compounds are added to baking powder, aspirin, antacids, beer, table salt and antiperspirants. It also leaches into our food and water through cookware, soft drink cans and aluminum foil. It has been discovered in high concentrations in the brain of Alzheimer’s patients and is suspected in contributing to this most hideous disease.

Potatoes may seem untouched by chemicals but because of their bad habit of sprouting, they are coated with the chemical inhibitor, maleic hydrazide, which has resulted in cancer in laboratory animals.

Ice cream producers use propylene glycol, the same substance in antifreeze and paint remover. Carboxymethylcellulose is a stabilizer, used in ice cream, salad dressing, cheese spreads and chocolate milk. It has produced tumors in 80% of rats injected. Yet, the FDA flatly denies it as a carcinogen, for the reason that when it was given to the rats orally, it didn’t cause cancer.

For 50 years, producers have added brominated oils to bottled fruit juice to maintain a look of freshness—even after 6 months of storage. Unfortunately, brominated oils have side effects. They produce changes in heart tissue, enlargement of the thyroid, kidney damage, decrease in liver metabolism and cause withered testicles. Canada, Holland, and Germany have banned brominated oils in the production of bottled drinks, yet they can still be imported from other countries.

New food additives are believed to be met with stringent testing. But due to unreliable testing methods, lack of qualified technicians, expensive analysis equipment, budget cuts and government lobbying by food conglomerates, additives that are marginally carcinogenic, mutagenic, or teratogenic stay in use.

The fetus cannot deal with foreign chemicals. Whatever toxic substances the mother eats flow largely unimpeded into the fetus. Unlike an adult, the fetus lacks protective, detoxifying systems. Teratogens are toxins which harm fetal development. Certain food additives are considered mildly teratogenic.

What toxicology testing cannot accurately predict is the long-term combined effect of 3,000 additives and environmental toxins on children, the elderly, newborn, the fetus, and people with cancer. The combined effect of these toxins on humans is unknown.

The processed food industry loads fat, sugar and salt into their products because they are cheap. They use chemicals to change these cheap, raw materials into brightly-colored, tasty products with a long shelf life. Food producers buy the cheapest raw materials, manufacture the product as quickly as possible, then sell it for the highest price. Good business sense, but, what is lost in the manufacturing is quality.

Before cyclamate was banned, it was used to sweeten drinks such as Cool-Aid which contained 28.5% of this substance. It was discovered that 30% of humans converted as much as 40% of the cyclamates ingested into Cyclohexylamine which produces chromosome damage in animals, a high rate of still-born young, and birth defects. It was then banned. Lipton donated its artificially sweetened product to mental hospitals and prisons in Ohio where it was accepted without question. It seems as if food companies will do just about anything to enhance the taste and textures of their products. The aim is to increase the pleasure of eating even if it means compromising nutritional value.

MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE

A common example of the thousands of chemicals used in our new high-tech foods is monosodium glutamate. MSG is like glutamic acid, an amino acid that is used in the function of the brain. Dr. John W. Olany of the University School of Medicine, in St. Louis, decided to test MSG by injecting it into infant mice. After the MSG injection, nerve cells, especially in the hypothalamus, became dramatically swollen. Within several hours, these cells died. It was discovered that the enzymes which help to metabolize MSG in adults do not exist in infants. It is suspected that instead of the nutrient glutamic acid, MSG is carried to the brain, causing a dangerous excess. When his report was published, Gerber, Beech-Nut, and Heinz took monosodium glutamate out of their baby foods., Naive mothers fed MSG to their babies believing that these trustworthy companies would never put something harmful into their baby’s foods.

At present, the average consumer eats over one gram of MSG per day. When pregnant women eat MSG, it crosses the placenta. MSG fed to growing rats, reduced their growth rate by 16%. The effect on the human fetus is still unknown!

FOOD COLORING

Synthetic color adds nothing to nutritional value. Numerous colors have been banned after twenty years on the market, only to discover that they were carcinogenic.

All certified food colors in use today are of a class of chemicals called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons that are universally suspect as carcinogenic. The FDA argues that food coloring is safe because it causes cancer only when injected into rats, not when they are feeding on it. Therefore, the FDA gives manufacturers the freedom to use food coloring at their discretion. Children are attracted to bright colors. Fruit loops, gum balls, popsicles and fruit drinks are mostly color and sugar. The food industry is making millions on selling chemical substances that have zero value to life.

On the Island of Nauru lived a small group of healthy and happy Polynesians. These people were left undisturbed until it was discovered that part of the island contained huge quantities of bird dung, containing valuable phosphates that can be used in fertilizer. The native islanders grew wealthy by selling this resource and with their new-found money supply they imported foods from the industrialized nations. The flavor of the North American diet cost them 1/3 of the Naurauns developing diabetes.

EARTH ADDITIVES

The Great Lakes is the largest body of fresh water in the world. A global treasure. People living by the Great Lakes have at least 30 contaminants stored in their body fat such as mercury, dioxin, and PCBs. According to Dr. Andrew Gilman, Manager of the Great Lakes Health Effects Center, health problems from contaminants around the lakes are affecting some residents. The most susceptible to these poisons are the elderly, new-born, children, fetuses and those in ill health. Women who drink water from the Great Lakes had a significantly higher rate of mouth and thyroid cancer.

I know what you’re thinking. How can all this be true, in light of the fact that many seem to live in generally, good health? I mean, if everything that we eat, drink and breathe are loaded with poisons, how can the world be full of seemingly healthy people? It would be appropriate right now to bow your head in humility and awe at the wondrous body that God has created for you. Truly, it seems able to endure overwhelmingly hostile conditions and still survive. But God’s best is not survival, only keeping one step ahead of illness. He wants you to experience the fullness of all His blessings, physical and spiritual. Everything which God makes sparkles with Life.

***

Dyes, bleaches, antioxidants, preservatives, chemical flavors, buffers, noxious sprays, alkalizers, acidifiers, deodorants, moisteners, drying agents, expanders, modifiers, emulsifiers, stabilizers, thickeners, clarifiers, disinfectants, defoliants, fungicides, neutralizers, anticaking and antifoaming agents, hydrolyzers, hydrogenators, herbicides, pesticides, synthetic hormones, antibiotics, steroids and four thousand other drugs that just make your mouth water with anticipation.

They find their way into the human food chain and become the raw materials for every cell of your body. They disrupt the natural chemistry resulting in cancer, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, allergies, diverticulitis, emphysema, stomach ulcers, premature aging, impotence, hypoglycemia and arthritis. These countless diseases exist because chemically-synthesized substances disrupt the bio-chemistry of hundreds of billions of microscopic living cells which make up the body.

The life of most cells is short; new cells are constantly being made to replace dead ones. The raw materials for this rebuilding come from the blood stream. When it contains toxins, the process of rebuilding cells is disrupted. Resistance to disease diminishes. If you have a genetic weakness and continue to eat processed foods, the cumulative effect of toxins will increase the risk of becoming a host to disease or premature death.

Thank God, the Good Shepherd that He is still in the business of leading His sheep to green pastures and still waters.

Wrong Service

December 17th, 2009 by elmer-slimer

A drunk says to the bartender, “I want a woman!”

So the bartender gave him directions to a brothel.

The drunk was so messed up that he accidentally walked into the wrong door, a Foot Doctor’s office.

The receptionist at the counter asks, “Can I help you?”

“Yes, I want some service” states the drunk.

The lady sends him to the other room and tells him to put it on the table.

The drunk goes in and places his dick on the examination table.

When the doctor comes in and notices the man’s penis on the table she says, “That’s not a foot!”

The drunk replies, “Give it time, Lady, give it time.”

i drink soda occasionally..the main reason is to lower my sugar intake..too much sucrose makes me feel depressed, tired and heavy so i refrain from too much sweets including colas (before like 5 years ago i drink sodas everyday)..

i shift to the nestle iced tea litro pack..then i wonder a small sachet could sweetened one liters of water while the regular iced tea pack a glass of water u need like 2 or 3 tablespoon of iced tea powder..the difference is in the sweetener they use - for the litro pack they used artificial sweeteners while the other one is the regular table sugar..until i found out that artificial sweetener’s by products are carcinogenic..

now here is what i found on the internet about sodas..

What Soft Drinks are Doing to Your Body

By Dr. Maoshing Ni - Posted on Fri, Oct 30, 2009, 12:29 pm PDT

Soda, pop, cola, soft drink — whatever you call it, it is one of the worst beverages that you could be drinking for your health. As the debate for whether to put a tax on the sale of soft drinks continues, you should know how they affect your body so that you can make an informed choice on your own.

Soft drinks are hard on your health

Soft drinks contain little to no vitamins or other essential nutrients. However, it is what they do contain that is the problem: caffeine, carbonation, simple sugars — or worse, sugar substitutes — and often food additives such as artificial coloring, flavoring, and preservatives.

A lot of research has found that consumption of soft drinks in high quantity, especially by children, is responsible for many health problems that include tooth decay, nutritional depletion, obesity, type-2 diabetes, and heart disease.

Why the sugar in soft drinks isn’t so sweet

Most soft drinks contain a high amount of simple sugars. The USDA recommendation of sugar consumption for a 2,000-calorie diet is a daily allotment of 10 teaspoons of added sugars. Many soft drinks contain more than this amount!

Just why is too much sugar so unhealthy? Well, to start, let’s talk about what happens to you as sugar enters your body. When you drink sodas that are packed with simple sugars, the pancreas is called upon to produce and release insulin, a hormone that empties the sugar in your blood stream into all the tissues and cells for usage. The result of overindulging in simple sugar is raised insulin levels. Raised blood insulin levels beyond the norm can lead to depression of the immune system, which in turn weakens your ability to fight disease.

Something else to consider is that most of the excess sugar ends up being stored as fat in your body, which results in weight gain and elevates risk for heart disease and cancer. One study found that when subjects were given refined sugar, their white blood cell count decreased significantly for several hours afterwards. Another study discovered that rats fed a high-sugar diet had a substantially elevated rate of breast cancer when compared to rats on a regular diet.

The health effects of diet soda

You may come to the conclusion that diet or sugar-free soda is a better choice. However, one study discovered that drinking one or more soft drinks a day — and it didn’t matter whether it was diet or regular — led to a 30% greater chance of weight gain around the belly.

Diet soda is filled with artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, sucralose, or saccharin. These artificial sweeteners pose a threat to your health. Saccharin, for instance, has been found to be carcinogenic, and studies have found that it produced bladder cancer in rats.

Aspartame, commonly known as nutrasweet, is a chemical that stimulates the brain to think the food is sweet. It breaks down into acpartic acid, phenylalanine, and methanol at a temperature of 86 degrees. (Remember, your stomach is somewhere around 98 degrees.) An article put out by the University of Texas found that aspartame has been linked to obesity. The process of stimulating the brain causes more cravings for sweets and leads to carbohydrate loading.

Carbonation depletes calcium

Beverages with bubbles contain phosphoric acid, which can severely deplete the blood calcium levels; calcium is a key component of the bone matrix. With less concentration of calcium over a long time, it can lower deposition rates so that bone mass and density suffer. This means that drinking sodas and carbonated water increases your risk of osteoporosis.

Add in the caffeine usually present in soft drinks, and you are in for even more trouble. Caffeine can deplete the body’s calcium, in addition to stimulating your central nervous system and contributing to stress, a racing mind, and insomnia.

Skip the soda and go for:

• Fresh water

Water is a vital beverage for good health. Each and every cell needs water to perform its essential functions. Since studies show that tap water is filled with contaminants, antibiotics, and a number of other unhealthy substances, consider investing in a quality carbon-based filter for your tap water.

On the go? Try using a stainless steel thermos or glass bottle, filled with filtered water. Enhance the flavor of your water with a refreshing infusion of basil, mint leaves, and a drop of honey.

• Fruit Juice

If you are a juice drinker, try watering down your juice to cut back on the sugar content. Buy a jar of organic 100% juice, especially cranberry, acai, pomegranate, and then dilute three parts filtered water to one part juice. You will get a subtle sweet taste and the benefit of antioxidants. After a couple of weeks, you will no longer miss the sweetness of sugary concentrated juices.

• Tea

Tea gently lifts your energy and has numerous health benefits. Black, green, white, and oolong teas all contain antioxidant polyphenols. In fact, tea ranks as high or higher than many fruits and vegetables on the ORAC scale, the score that measures antioxidant potential of plant-based foods.

Herbal tea does not have the same antioxidant properties, though it is still a great beverage choice with other health benefits, such as inducing calming and relaxing effects.

If tea doesn’t satisfy your sweet tooth, try adding cinnamon or a little honey, which has important health benefits that refined sugar lacks. Drink up!

I hope you find the ways and means to avoid soft drinks. I invite you to visit often and share your own personal health and longevity tips with me.

May you live long, live strong, and live happy!

The Biker

December 16th, 2009 by elmer-slimer

A drunken man walks into a biker bar, sits down at the bar and orders a drink.

Looking around, he sees 3 men sitting at a corner table.

He gets up, staggers to the table, leans over, looks at the biggest, meanest one in the face and says, “I went by your grandma’s house today and I saw her in the hallway buck naked. Man, she is a fine looking woman!”

The biker looks at him and doesn’t say a word.

His buddies are confused, because he is one bad biker, and would fight at the drop of a hat.

The drunk leans on the table again and says, “I got it on with your grandma and she is good, the best I ever had!”

The biker’s buddies are starting to get really mad, but the biker still says nothing.

The drunk leans on the table one more time and says, “I’ll tell you something else, boy, your grandma liked it!”

At this point the biker stands up, takes the drunk by the shoulders and says, “Grandpa, you’re drunk……. Go home!”

December 16th, 2009 by elmer-slimer

have you ever been in Dubai? at the airport one could visibly notice Asians from the south (indians, pakistanis) and the east (indonesians, filipinos, koreans, japanese), some brazilians, middle eastern and african origins (sudanese, egyptians, etc), british and other europeans..

dubai competing with hongkong as the shopping capital of the world (both has no tax imposed on businesses), competing with qatar as financial capital of the middle east..competing with saudi arabia as the regional hub center of the GCC..dubai building itself as the premier leisure destination in the middle east..

now here is the top 5 to visit in dubai according to one travel channel..

Top 5 Attractions in DUBAI

Dubai is famous for constantly reinventing itself. Here are top 5 attractions for you to look forward to…

SKI DUBAI

It may not be the Alps, but it’s the next best thing “Ski Dubai”. A vast indoor snowsports complex boasting five runs including the world’s first indoor black run.

There are plenty of opportunities to catch some air in the Freestyle Zone, with a handy crash zone to soften the landings. And all this at a numbing sub zero temperature.

It’s designed for the whole family and people of all ability with a capacity of fifteen hundred people. So don’t forget your mits.

MALL and AQUARIUM

Up second it’s The Dubai Mall. It may be the largest mall in the world, but there’s plenty of room left over away from the cash registers.  Our tip is the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. With one of the largest tanks in the world and an impressive ten million litres of water there’s plenty of marine life to see, especially with a walk through the two hundred and seventy degree walkway.

Over a million people have braved it so far, its pretty jaw dropping, with over thirty three thousand aquatic animals. Just watch out for the sharks!

ATLANTIS WATER PARK

Next up is the Aquaventure at Atlantis on the man made Palm. Its non-stop thrills and spills for all the family, and a good chance to cool off. You can slide down the immense Ziggurat, amble along the two kilometre river ride, or for the really brave take the leap of faith. Either way sooner or later you’ll end up submerged in a shark filled lagoon.

BASTAKIYA

For something more laid back, take in some of Dubai’s rich culture with a trip to Bastakiya. This heritage district is a world away from the high rise glitz across the Creek. Wandering around the breezy lanes is welcome respite from the hustle and bustle, plus you can try out some of the traditional arts and crafts. It’s a fantastic way to spend an afternoon.

DUNE BASHING AND CAMEL RIDING

To cap off the list at number five, take to the road. There’s dune bashing, camel riding and off roading fun to be had. This vast desert expanse makes up over ninety nine percent of Dubai’s land, rocky mountains and sandy wastes that look straight out of Lawrence of Arabia.
